I feel like I cannot maneuver around this blog...which limits my great creative capacity! Ahem. Anway...I am still finding my way with this whole blogging thing and I think I need a guide...no, not a guide, a format? I don't know what I need but I come across some blogs that are so wrought with insight and clever little tidbits that it leaves me wondering what I am doing here. Nobody is viewing this anyway...so is it a waste of time? That's a good question....do I need validation from others in order to get any sort of reward out of this? I hope not but a single comment now and then would be nice. Ho-hum.
Anyway, in heavier news my super fantastical, excellent, out of this world neighbor died unexpectedly last week. It broke my heart. I literally cried all day. He was 65 and died of a heart attack. When I moved in, I was a single mom. He cut my grass, snow plowed for me and welcomed me with open arms to the neighborhood. He and his wife (whom he clearly adored) made me feel right at home immediately. After I got married, my husband and he became fast friends (as he did with everyone in the neighborhood). My husband and he spent countless hours chit-chatting over the fence. He greeted us nearly every time we arrived home no matter the hour, I'm certain he did not sleep. Always asking our children how their game was, if they'd scored etc. And to us it was always...how was work, how bout this weather, hows mom...always, always showing an interest in our lives. Everytime my husband had a question about a home improvement project....over to "Peakers" he'd go. God bless him, he was a patient man. There is definitely a void in our hearts because of this loss. Our home doesn't feel quite the same without his watchful eye and cheery smile. You will be missed "Peaker". RIP my friend.

Okay so at the risk of sounding incredibly generic...I am a happily married mother of 2 (one 13 y.o. firecracker of a daugther and a easy peasy 11 yo boy). I'm pretty sure my husband was made exactly for me. I love to craft but rarely have the time, same goes for entertaining. I love my family and most nights you'll find me at the local softball or soccer field! I have a new found love for Pinterest! Looking to get my creative juices flowing back here on my blog.

Oh my gooooodness...I cannot believe I found this old blog!! I have been thinking lately (the last 2 days) that I should create a blog to get my creative juices flowing and low and behold lookey what we have here! So - lots has changed since 2007. For starters...I am MARRIED...Yahooey! I found the most perfect man for me that is! I now have a step son to boot. We have a hustle and bustle household. Lots of action, soccer, hockey, baseball, softball, cheer, band, ya-dah, ya-dah, ya-dah.
I am still working out the kinks of blogging...links, color schemes, well...really all of it. I mean...I wonder if what I have to say will interest anyone? That is neither here nor there I suppose...the idea is a creative outlet..stick with the plan!!
Okay people, lets see where this takes us. I have seen some perty cool blogs out there and I am hoping to create my own! Ready-set-go!

TGIGF
Thank God it's Good Friday! Well, I am here by my lonesome today since Nelly is off....should make for a long boring day! I hope we get sent home early, although I pretty much doubt that will happen. Tonight we are coloring Easter eggs, my 2 sisters are coming over and my nephew, Kennedy is very excited about that! I bought 2 dozen eggs and my sister usually brings a couple as well....we go a little overboard...b/c we like to color them too!! hee-hee. So, we'll probably order pizza and hang out, should be a fun night. Tomorrow I MIGHT see wonderboy but I'm not sure, I would like to but I'm really not sweating it, if it works out great, if not - whatever. I mean he's not even living here anymore so I'm not really thinking much of it, although we have been keeping in touch. You never know what the future holds I guess but I'm just taking it for what it's worth right now.
I am planning to stay in Sat since Sun is Easter but there is a slim chance if I don't see the boy that I will end up going out. Maybe rather than going out dancing, I'll just go see a movie. My sister loves going out dancing so I think she might want to.
Does this weather suck or what?! It was snowing this morning....I AM OVER IT!!!!!!!!!

Nothing Much
Nothing much new here. I am looking forward to Easter, I am having brunch at my house so the whole family will be coming over which is nice b/c we usually don't all get together on Easter. However I am not off work on Good Friday or Mon. after Easter like a lot of people (NELLY!)...course we don't get paid for it. I was considering taking a couple days off during the week next week but I sorta want to save it up for summer. I have arranged for daycare for the whole week so really I could work. I might just take Friday and do something with Kennedy and one of her friends and her mom.
I want to plan a trip...having something to look forward to makes everything seem better!
I haven't worked out in a week and a 1/2 UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big Success
So the party was a success - everyone stayed late, in fact a couple of my sisters stayed until 3:00 a.m.!! Wonderboy was there and cute and sweet as ever. Too bad he's back in Indy now. He'll be home Easter weekend though, so I suspect we'll see eachother then. This weekend I have no plans which is gooood! I need to start getting things ready for Easter as I'll be the one hosting Easter Brunch. I am making homade Mac-n-Cheese and meatballs and buying assorted bread and rolls and my sisters have been assigned various other food items so it should be a big feast, I am looking forward to it! My latest project is rescuing/adopting a boxer. I filled out an application and now they are doing a home check tomorrow and then they try to find a boxer that is best suited for our family. I am really excited about it. I've always wanted a boxer, I just think they are the cutest dogs! Although they are known to be very hyper, I am going to be sure to request one that is on the more calm side. I like the idea of having a bigger dog around though, I feel safer, and especially for playing outside in the summer, I won't have to drag Kennedy in the house everytime I want to run in for a second to get something. I never let her outside for a second if I'm not there. But I'll feel more at ease with a big dog in the yard with her. I will be sure to get the ole "Beware of Dog" sign for the yard! The cost is 250.00 which is kinda steep but at least it's for a dog I really want. So that's all for now I guess. We'll see how the home visit goes, they are bringing a boxer over to "visit" so I am excited about that!

I'm back and it's Party Time!
So, I am throwing a little shin-dig for my family and close friends. Just an end of winter, hellloooo spring par-tay! I bought some cute tropical looking things to throw in the basement, enough liquor for a football team and some snacks to have on hand...sounds like the perfect party to me! I am actually really looking forward to it. I don't know if "wonderboy" will be there or not, he was supposed to be but I haven't really talked to him much this week. That is neither here nor there, I love to entertain so I will be having fun no matter what. And I told everyone to wear their summer-y clothes so we could get in the mood! Should be a fun weekend. And I MUST make it to the gym one day this weekend. I am still going... not as much as I should be but probably 2-4 times a week depending on the week....well, actually probably not 4 in a while, so, we'll agree on a happy medium of 3 ALRIGHT 2!!!!!!!!!!! SHEESH! I am looking forward to getting out of here today and getting the weekend started. Hope all is well with everyone....if anyone is even reading this thing anymore!!!

Crabby Patty
Yeah....so I think it is worse to LEAVE this God awful state and realize what you're missing by going to Florida! It was b-e-a-u-tiful in Florida and now we're here back in this mess. I honestly have to ask myself what I am thinking...."what are you thinking?!??!" So we had a great time in Florida, I need to spend all my winters there...what kind of job can you get that allows that? I also realize that I need to travel much more, it's just so fun packing up and going to a completely different place surrounded by different people, having a different routine....it's just good for ya!
Besides being crabby about the weather, I have been having some car issues that started out sounding very bad but have dwindled down to just being the radiator. The bad part is, the guy who sold me the car assured me it was under warranty till 70,000 and it only has 34,000 miles now....well, to make a long, annoying, painful story very short, it's not under warranty and so basically I am screwed. But the car is fixed and I am going to pick it up today...on the other side of the world....somewhere near Nelly Land.
In addition to the weather and the car....there is the "boy"....."boy wonder" would be a good name for him because I am always WONDERING what the hell he's thinking! He was so sweet while I was in Florida calling everyday, so comforting and helpful about my car and telling me "oh, we'll take care of it, I'll help you" etc. Then I get home and it's like he barely has 5 minutes to talk to me. I dont' think i have the patience to try to figure it out. Either you want to date someone or not. I may be a bit bitter, or just old but I am not in the mood for the guessing game! I will be making plans this weekend and if he wants to see me, he'll have to catch up with me!
There are other things I am crabby about as well but I think I've done enough complaining for one post. The good thing is that I'm getting a haircut tonight so that's always fun, I love going to the salon! I'm going to change it up, just a bit, I can't stand wearing it the same for too long!
Thanks to all who kept reading while I was MIA!
